Multiple award Winner Jazz Saxophonist Krzysztof Urbanski, recommended by The Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz. In January 2014 Krzysztof has become an artist of Julius Keilwerth Saxophone Company as well as Buffet Group. During Krzysztof’s career, which spans over 17 years, He is well known for taking part in concerts, festivals, jazz competitions, masterclasses, workshops : London Jazz Festival 2015 - Performer with Urban Jazz Society, leading Masterclass at Royal Northern College of Music during "The Saxophone Day" 11/2015, judge at Sax Idol Saxophone Competition 2014/2015, judge at Taichung International Saxophone Competition 2014 & 2016, 1st Prize at Idol International Saxophone Competition in Chicago IL USA/ 12.2013, 1st Prize at Taichung International Saxophone Competition in Taiwan/ 10.2013, 1st Prize for Krzysztof’s Quartet at Hoeilaart International Jazz Competition in Belgium / 2008, 1st Prize - The Best Soloist Prize at Hoeilaart International Jazz Competition in Belgium, 1st Prize at the festival Jazz By The Oder (JnO). Krzysztof Urbański was proclaimed Jazz Personality of the Year, 1st Prize in International Competition of Jazz Soloists Jazz Challenges where the jury consisted of such acknowledged personalities as, Billy Harper, Clarence Seay and Steve Turre. 1st Prize - Top Audience Choice Award in International Competition of Jazz Soloists Jazz Challenges, 1st Prize for Krzysztof’s Quartet at International Jazz Juniors Competition in Cracow/ 2007, 1st Prize - The Best Instrumentalist of the Competition Award at International Jazz Juniors Competition in Cracow/ 2007, 1st Prize at The Polish Review of Jazz Bands in Gdynia/ 2007 Other prizes : In January 2016 Krzysztof received the scholarship from Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland. In April 2009 Krzysztof Urbański and his Quartet received the TVP Culture Award from the national broadcaster. In March 2009 Krzysztof received press prize by winning the wARTo Music Award from Gazeta Wyborcz. In January 2009 Krzysztof Urbański won the scholarship from Department of Culture "Young Poland". In September 2009 Krzysztof received the scholarship from the City of Wroclaw. In 2010 Krzysztof recorded his debut album named simply “Urbanski” which was very well received by the critics. This album was sold in the number of 15.000 cd's in whole Europe and the United States. With his bands he has performed at many festivals like: London Jazz Festival, Getxo Jazz Festival in Spain, Honda Jazz Festival in Wrocław, Sofia Jazz Club Sopot Jazz Festival, Gouvy Jazz Festival in Belgium, Frankfurt MusikMesse, Taichung Jazz Fest, Houili, Taipei Jazz Fest, Gent Jazz Fest, Chicago Mid West Clinic, Chicago Jazz Showcase, Hoeilaart Jazz Festival, Scarborough Jazz Fest, Honda Jazz Fest, Jazz Jamboree, JnO, Blue Note, Cleethorpe Jazz Festival, Blue Note, Royal Northern College of Music, Sax.co.uk. In 2010 Krzysztof moved to England where founded his new Quintet Urban Jazz Society. He started to work with some of the most innovative musicians in the UK including Sam Gardner, Sam Vicary, Garry Jackson, Martin Longhawn, Ashley Henry, Stuart McCallum, David Preston.
