Sam Gamez is the youngest Bari woodwind endorser receiving it at 16. He started playing the basson in the 5th grade and is still playing it to this day. He picked up tenor saxophone in 9th grade for marching band and immediately started to excel at it, he picked up Baritone sax at the end of he freshman year and that is what he primarily plays now. Sam has played in numerous small ensembles around the Tampa Bay area and he has been a student at the Kinhaven School of Music in Weston Vermont in bassoon studies. Sam was a member of the USF Jazz Ensemble I and attended Steinbrenner High school and was part of the jazz band there for 4 years. Sam is majoring in music education and jazz studies at USF and he plays the Bari Gold mouthpiece on he Baritone. Cyclone for tenor and the hybrid for alto and tenor. Sam also plays on Bari Star and Elite reeds on all of his saxophones and clarinets.
