
SAM GAMEZ
Sam Gamez is a Saxophonist and woodwind doubler based out of Gainesville Florida, he is an Alumni of University of South Florida and Kinhaven Music School in Vermont. He has been the Sax player for Gainesville based R&B/Funk group Uncle Morty’s Rhythm Cream, the Baritone Sax player for the Gainesville Big Band and the is the Director of the North Florida Sax Choir, a 30 piece sax choir based in Gainesville, as well an educator in Gilchrist and Alachua county working with several schools around the area teaching their woodwind for marching band, Concert and jazz ensemble.
He has done several Broadway productions including Chicago, City of Angels, Rocky Horror Picture show, 1940 Radio Hour and West Side Story to name a few.
He uses the Bari Elite and Eco reeds on all Horns and plays the WTII on Baritone, the Hybrid Gold on alto and tenor and the Classic HR on soprano.
